Granite /sink?

Does anyone know if you upgrade to the granite counter tops in kitchen if the put stainless steel sink liP where it goes in on top of granite or underneath ? I like the underneath, do you need a special type can you pick etc ?

  1. When you opt for the granite counter tops, you automatically get a sink that is under mounted. It will NOT have the lip onto the granite.

You can look through my blog and see the pics of our sink. The only thing we did was opt for the 60/40 sink. We were told it would mount under the counter top with granite.

    Hope this helps!

  2. All the ones I have seen have been undermounted with the granite. Not sure if you can pick your sink, but just like everything else you can certainly ask for a custom one and see what they say.

  3. as far as choices....

We were offered the regular (50/50) sink or the 60/40 sink. I think you may be able to upgrade to a deeper sink, but I'm not sure. I know you have the option with a top mounted sink, but not sure with a bottom mounted one.

You can also upgrade your faucet.

  4. Same as BD...when we upgraded to granite, it switched to an under-mounted sink that is deeper than the standard.
